Hi everyone. Jo here, with some sad news. Due to a number of factors, the biggest of which is a lack of interest, I've decided to go ahead and close Clarion Prep.

I want to thank everyone for their time and energy invested in the game so far; it was a short run but I've enjoyed reading apps and tagging with you all. I apologize for anyone who was still interested in applying but at this point, the player base is so small and the number of prospective players dwindling so much that I would rather not invest more potential time and energy into something that isn't bringing any interest or participation. This was my first experience opening a game and I've learned some good lessons thanks in part to everyone who did join, and all of the helpful questions and suggestions you all posed.

I've decided to leave the comms open for the next month in case anyone has threads they would like to finish; I do ask that new logs aren't created for the sake of wrapping things up in a timely manner. Thanks again, and I hope to see you all around in other games.

Hi everyone, I'm Phaerie and I'm bringing you the man who was one of the first Doctor Who companions, Ian Chesterton. Although in this AU he taught in a school in London, until WWI broke out and then he fought in the trenches in Europe. And came back with a case of Survivor's Guilt and is now in America to make a fresh start. He'll be teaching chemistry (while I'll be doing a lot of googling to find out what he can't teach because it hasn't been discovered yet). More information is in his app.

I'm in Britain, so I tend to do my tagging while most of America are asleep - and most of America do their tagging while I'm asleep, so it all works out. Ways of contacting me are in Ian's profile.

My favourite period of history is early 20th century Britain. While America was a bit different and requires more googling, I am really excited to be playing in this setting, and to be playing with you all.

Hello one and all.

I'm Otter, and I'll be playing this delightfully charming jerk until further notice.

Just like in the MCU Tony Stark is arrogant genius who knows exactly what he is and isn't at all afraid to prove how right he is. Then gets a little huffy when he turns out to be wrong, that being said he'll still try and find a way to at least be vaguely right about the situation.
He isn't without his softside, but it does require making it through his dickish ways first as his personal life has made him unlikely to trust people who legitimately want to be his friend right away.

Whenever Tony doesn't want to be an active part of the schools social functions Tony will mostly be holed away either tending to his Black Arabian mare Friday, who was given to Tony by his father specifically, so he does treasure the horse who has the patience of a saint. Or he will be trying to develop something to make either his life, or the schools life a little easier. Mostly working with steam based engineering because even his dad won't let him waste money on random combustion engine parts... Yet.

Anyway, Hi there. I'm DA and I play your wonderful first floor boys dorm floor parent. I apologize now for him as I and he will probably be implementing some crazy rules for his floor. So if anyone has any great suggestions like "you have to wear yellow on Saturday" or "touch his espresso machine and die" please feel free to suggest them. I want to make this fun for everyone even if he's a strict parent.

- Reborn's full name is "Reborn Mancuso". This is not his actual name but good luck finding out what that is.
- Reborn is originally from Sicily, so anyone taking Italian and needs help don't hesitate to ask him
- He's been the statistics teacher for 2 years.
- He's a "mysterious teacher" who never talks about his past (for good reason)
- Rumors say he might or might not be affiliated with the Chicago Mob (he neither confirms nor denies these)
- He loves espresso and has one of those new fangled espresso machines (they were commercially available in 1905)
- He has a chameleon named Leon. Leon mostly lives in an aquarium in his room but sometimes when it's warm out, he likes to ride around on Reborn's fedora.

Hello, chums. I am also Hannah. Another Hannah. I'm bringing you Sebastian Moran from The Hound of the D'Urbervilles by Kim Newman. If you're a Sherlock Holmes fan, you may know Moran as a minor villain, so admittedly D'Urbervilles is basically a published fanfic that takes place before his appearance in Conan Doyle's stories. In canon, he's a Victorian era big game hunter and army colonel who is forced to retire after a run-in with a tiger leaves him wounded and shipped back to London, so he takes his sharpshooting skills elsewhere and starts working for one Professor Moriarty and his crime/murder ring while writing about tigers and guns in his spare time.

Here, he's basically the same sans the Victorian era, but his career path has taken him elsewhere He's still a big game hunter/retired army colonel (still the tiger wounds, yes) and still writes about tigers and guns in his spare time. But instead of being immediately hired into a crime ring, he's been hired as the firearms instructor here in America. He doesn't like children and is probably into some sneaky criminal shit on the side (keep an eye on your wallets), but job is a job and his knowledge of guns is pretty much unrivaled. He's an adrenaline junkie, has a fine set of sidewhiskers, and probably has something going on with that French etiquette teacher. They definitely gossip about everyone.

Hi there everyone!! My name is Erin, and I'm playing this...questionable gentleman, Sakutaro Morishige (but you can call him Shige). He's from the game "Corpse Party", and is coming to Clarion for his health and also to appease his parents. In this AU, his history is very much the same as it is in his game, and you can read his backstory here. But long story short, he's a sickly child who has always struggled to connect to others, and after developing a bit of an unusual fascination with death and the inner workings of the human body, his parents thought it would be a good idea for him to get a fresh start and work on his socializing skills.

I see other people making bullet points, so I'll be a copycat and do the same, hehe.

- Shige is 16, and a second year student.
- His parents are Japanese immigrants (he was born in the US), and rather affluent as well as wealthy. They're both still living, and he's an only child.
- He's kind of an awkward duck, quite shy, and his way of talking is kind of formal and reserved.
- He LOVES to act, and desperately hope there's a theater club of some sort at Clarion.
- He has a budding interest in photography, and has a Kodak Brownie that was a farewell gift from his best friend that he often has with him.
- Very observant, but kind of misses social cues despite that.
- Likes to read, and is incredibly book smart, although his street smarts leave a lot to be desired.
- He really, really does want to make friends! He does!!!! He's just so awful at it....

Hey and hello there! I'm Rozen, and I'll be playing Three (aka Violette Dubois because her canon just gives her a number as a name, so for this AU, she'll have a proper real name) from Drakengard 3, which is...rather crazy and then just getting worse from here on out because the creator, Yoko Taro, is a sadist who loves to see everyone suffer. Not as crazy as the first game for sure, but the game has its moments! Also there's dragons. They're very important to to the game and the series it's part of as a whole, so there's that.

ANYWAYS, following the bandwagon of bullet points, Three here is:
-Lazy. Like, if you tried to move her, she won't budge, just as a cat would. That's how much of a bum she is (though it's also because of something else which will be mentioned a little later).
-Loves dolls. So much so, that she forgets to eat when she's really focused on working or making a doll. Because apparently that's more important then taking care of yourself, yeah............
-Falls asleep at random times. In canon, she just does it because she can, but in this AU, it's due to her having narcolepsy! Which also means that it tends to leave her pretty exhausted and also why Three seems like she's sluggish for most of the time. Don't worry don't worry, I won't have her drop everything just to take a rest in every thread.
-Is p r e t t y antisocial...look, social stuff is a hassle and boring to her, okok. And just because she's been adopted into a wealthy family and is a pretty cute girl, doesn't mean that she has to act like one, and she as absolute zero degree fucks on appearances and people's opinions of her. SCREW THE RULES, SHE'S DOING HER OWN THING.
-Loves science because she's thirsty as fuck for knowledge.
-Does not talk a lot. Not because she's shy, but man, it's too much effort for her...unless someone happens to ask about the things she does like. Then she unleashes a waterfall of rambling big enough to dwarf Niagara Falls.
-Loves dolls and science.
-Despite how slow she seems, she's actually pretty smart. And no, you can't copy from her homework.
-Did I mention she loves dolls and science? BECAUSE SHE LOVES THOSE LIKE HELLA. And also other weird stuff, like speaking in cryptic riddles and metaphors that'd just confuse the heck out of people, w e l p.
-Has a great singing voice, even if. she uses it to sing creepy songs...........................
-Likes toilet humor...yeah. And she's named some of her dolls after unsanitary things in French and a bit of Spanish because those are the only things she'll ever bother to learn in another language.

Oops, I probably went overboard with those points, BUT WELP. Also, unlike in canon, 1920s!Three actually has a bit of a heart and some morals, so that means no murdering actual people and animals for the sake of making dolls and experiments, THANK GOD. Here, she's just a creepy girl with weirdo interests and is more or less trying to get better...in her own way. If she leaves a hideous doll on someone's doorstep, it means she likes them, just like a cat! Except it's still not cute.

HI PEOPLE. c: I am Bookie, and I am bringing you the biggest dork to ever almost destroy the world, Ryoji Mochizuki from Persona 3. In canon, he is a Shadow, aka a creature made up from the negative feelings of humanity. Specifically, he is the physical embodiment of the Thirteenth Arcana, which is the Death, and the fact that he exists indicates to the goddess Nyx that all of humanity wants to die, so she being the nice lady she is tried to fulfill that wish. Ryoji was sad because he likes people but he didn't have much of a choice. :( (You can watch this video and it's a damn good retelling of the last part of the game with him.)

Anyway, I see we are doing bullet points FUCK BULLET POINTS I DO WHAT I WA-- actually no this is probably better than the wall of text I would deliver otherwise.
-Ryoji, in this AU, is 17 and a third year
-His mom is Greek (because AUing Nyx as his overbearing mother gives me life) and his dad was Japanese
-HIS DAD IS DEEEEEAD he doesn't care tho he was bitty
-Homeschooled all his life
-He spent most of his childhood in Japan but didn't really talk to anyone because lol child of mixed heritage in 1920s Japan.
-As a result is super lonely and naive and very persistent in friendship.
-He's super dumb in a lot of ways but is actually very, very good at philosophical conversations.
-His mom is the heir of the Tartarus cooperation and finally figured out that Ryoji is nnnnnnot prepared to take that over so BOARDING SCHOOL.
-The only reason he's here and not a more prestigious school in Europe is because he wanted to hit on girls.
-........He will totally hit on all the girls. And boys, if they hit on him first hitting on boys has literally not occurred to him yet.

Hello there! I'm Emi and I play this little shit, Luvander from the sort of steampunk-y book series The Volstovic Cycle - that is to say, more specifically from the book Steelhands, because before that point he has like 5 lines. But that's okay, because he more than makes up for it once he gets the chance. In canon he's around his 30's and is a previous airman - AKA rider of a mechanical dragon - who now runs a hat shop.

I see we are doing handy bullet points, so here are some useful facts:
- Full name is Luvander Pavlukhin ingame, feel free to mangle it
- 16 years old, second year. Been at Clarion for one semester already.
- Russian immigrant. He's lived in the US since he was seven and only has a very faint accent, but he'll play it up at times just Because. Lives with his parents and three younger sisters when not in school.
- Sort of middle class and used to hanging out with the working masses. Is here because his family would like him to stop.
- Gay but deeeeeply closeted and very good at keeping up the act. Will probably flirt lightly with all the ladies as a result.
- Aggressively social and will try to make friends with anyone standing still for too long.
- He never shuts up. Has a problem with running his mouth until people feel like throttling him.

Myself, I'm a 28 yo ladyperson and I currently live in Sweden, which means European tagging hours for now. I'm however going to move to the US pretty soon, which might mean that I'll be a bit infrequent once that happens. This is Shini, and I'm bringing in Sinbad from Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic - while in Canon, he's a King and Human Singularity with good intentions but very shady means, things are going to be rather different:

-Full name in AU: Sinbad ibn Badr Ahl-Tison, shortened to Sinbad Tison by immigration.

-He's from the former Ottomon Empire, now Iraq

-Sinbad was involved with the Arabic Rebellion, but not in direct combat as he's a pacifist

-A natural Polyglot, he's fluent in six languages, and a passable conversationalist in four others.

-He teaches the collective of Near East Languages (Arabic, Farsi, Turkish and Hebrew), the demand's too small for each to have their own class, but the political changes show there's a need for them in the future.

-He may or may not have a problem with alcohol

-Sinbad's extremely social and delights in being the 'eccentric teacher'
