hey clarion!! i'm kiss and i'm bringing in one person here so far, maybe someone else in a hot minute. for same basic biodata: i'm 21, female (she/her), i'm a professional writer/editor and i live in texas. i like webcomics, lots of television shows, daytime tv talk shows of the maury variety, drag race, steven universe, and life is strange if you want my main interests/fandoms. now that i've introduced myself, now it's time to introduce you to Him

Lalli is:
  • male, 2nd year
  • Finnish
  • dirt poor
  • here on an athletic scholarship (track and field)
  • very esl
  • hungry
  • sleepy
  • skinny
  • weird
  • a nice guy but who can tell, really
  • here's his app for more specifics!

for a more tl;dr intro, he's a quiet kid who has lived kind of uneducated and isolated up until now and this is his first taste of being in an atmosphere where socializing and learning are kind of...requirements. he knows rudimentary english, but will mostly communicate with people wordlessly using visual cues. this is honestly super fun in terms of rping, and i hope to have fun with y'all here!

if you want to contact me, please either im grief seed on aim or pp me at [plurk.com profile] ships, where you can also add me if you want!

This is Shini, and I'm bringing in Sinbad from Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic - while in Canon, he's a King and Human Singularity with good intentions but very shady means, things are going to be rather different:

-Full name in AU: Sinbad ibn Badr Ahl-Tison, shortened to Sinbad Tison by immigration.

-He's from the former Ottomon Empire, now Iraq

-Sinbad was involved with the Arabic Rebellion, but not in direct combat as he's a pacifist

-A natural Polyglot, he's fluent in six languages, and a passable conversationalist in four others.

-He teaches the collective of Near East Languages (Arabic, Farsi, Turkish and Hebrew), the demand's too small for each to have their own class, but the political changes show there's a need for them in the future.

-He may or may not have a problem with alcohol

-Sinbad's extremely social and delights in being the 'eccentric teacher'

Looking forward to playing, my plurk is at [plurk.com profile] RShini

Hello all! I'm Snow and I'm bringing here a character from a rather obscure book series: Arabesk by Jon Courtenay Grimwood.

I'm playing Ashraf al-Mansur and while his canon takes place at an alternate history where the change point is 1915 and it's set a hundred years in the future I...didn't actually have to change things that much.

    Anyway! Raf is
    - 16, male, second-year
    - quiet (children should be seen and not heard)
    - eminently adaptable
    - super rich
    - possessed of a photographic memory
    - kind of scared of girls right now (all his previous boarding schools have been single-sex)
    - used to boarding schools (he's been in one or another of them since he was five)
    - kind of crazy (there's a fox in his head, it snarks at him a lot)

I look forward to playing with all of you! If you want to add me on plurk, I'm [plurk.com profile] snowishness.
